The 3000-3009 range is the most contested in dev tooling (Next.js auto-increments, BrowserSync, Grafana, Rails, Express all default to 3000+). Port 14800-14899 has zero IANA registrations, zero known dev tool conflicts, and is safely below OS ephemeral ranges.
